Emily (Emi) is a good friend of mine. We both served as small group leaders for the Nichols' Rising Leaders conference last April and have been in touch ever since. I was so thrilled that she considered me when she decided to propose to her girlfriend, Sadie.
A little back story to the proposal, Sadie's one request to Emi when she proposed was that she did not propose to her under the Century Tree at Texas A&M University (probably because she is a t-sip). Emi, being the smart women that she is, picked the next closest tree that looked like the Century Tree to propose under. Whoop!
Even though Sadie is a t-sip, I am happy for them both and hope the best for them!
