Brittney contacted me earlier this year about photographing her wedding in June. I was excited to learn that she loves sunflowers, just like my fiance, and was using them in her wedding. Leading up to the wedding date, we tried many times to meet up to take engagement photos, but couldn't because John was gone a lot for work. Therefore, their wedding day was the first day that I got to meet John.
Brittney and John's wedding day was a very busy day starting with their rehearsal and then putting their last touches on the letters that they wrote to each other. Aside from the few times that Brittney was stressed about the weather, the day overall could not have been more perfect! Yes, it did rain for about 30 minutes, but that allowed the outside temperature to cool down a little and happened hours before any guest showed up. What I loved about this wedding in particular was that both Brittney and John's families showed a strong devotion for God. Towards the end of the ceremony, both families prayed over Brittney and John for their new journey together.
After the ceremony and dinner, the night was full of fun games put on by the bride and groom. Around 9:30 PM, I told the bride and groom that we needed to go to the roof because there were 'good' shots that we could get. Once up there, they both were confused as to what shots I was talking about and were starting to question my choice in view. To say the least, they were both surprised when the first set of fireworks went off. After fireworks and a few more dances, the newly married couple enjoyed their final private dance before they departed off to their stretch limo through a archway of sparklers.
Congratulations Brittney and John! Thank you for allowing me to capture your special day:)
